This course is suitable for anyone who wishes to learn to cook and become familiar with traditional Spanish cuisine.

It is ideal for training domestic workers in Spanish culinary traditions and for learning to prepare classic dishes from our traditional cuisine.

By the end of the course you will know all the techniques and recipes of traditional Spanish cooking, understand food preservation, handling and defrosting, learn to prepare versatile bases that work across multiple dishes, cook your own traditional stews, and acquire an introduction to table-setting protocol.

Sessions take place in your kitchen, preferably Monday to Friday in the afternoon (15:00 to 19:00) or on Saturday mornings.

Option 1: 12-hour COURSE:
16 recipes in total

Delivered over 4 sessions of 3 hours each.
Our recommendation is 1 session per week over 4 weeks.
COURSE FEE: 650€

Option 2: 6-hour COURSE:
8 recipes in total

Delivered over 2 sessions of 3 hours each.
Our recommendation is 1 session per week over 2 weeks.
COURSE FEE: 350€

This fee includes travel to your home by our instructor (within Madrid city limits).

Payment is split: 50% on the first session and the remaining 50% on completion of the course.

COURSE CONTENT

Classic recipes prepared in the most traditional way — just like grandmother used to make! Lentil stew, cocido madrileño, meatballs, croquettes, pisto, and much more.

Guidance on: food preservation, handling and defrosting.

We will send you a list of more than 50 recipes to choose 4 dishes for each session of the course.

PROTOCOL

It is always useful to know how to lay a table properly on special occasions, how to serve dishes, where the bread plate goes, and where to place the cutlery.

Before the course begins, we will arrange a meeting to discuss your preferences, tastes and any dietary requirements or allergies.

COURSE PREPARATION

We send you a list of more than 50 recipes to choose from. Would you like to swap a recipe? No problem at all.

We prepare a shopping list with all the necessary ingredients and send it to you in advance of the session, and I will take care of teaching you to cook.
